This is honestly so true, and freaking sucks sometimes if you (like me) struggle with communication. But if you're not communicating you may as well just be throwing your work into a void. No one can follow/like/subscribe/buy your stuff if they don't know you exist!

a (possibly) useful section of social media tips for artists:

— sometimes the idea matters far more than technical skill;
— that artist with "incomprehensible anatomy and questionable stylization" might get more likes because they resonate with people and that matters;

One of my favorite quotes is "make it exist first, you can make it good later"

And recreating an old piece with new skills or in a new media is amazing for when I'm suffering art block, which is often.

Something I love about being an artist is if you draw something and it doesn't quite meet your expectation, you can just do it again after a few years.

Never stop yourself from drawing something because you don't have the skills yet.
