On wednesday, I had my first conversation in #Gàidhlig and it went very well! There were a few things I didn't know how to say so I switched to English, but overall I am extremely proud of myself :) For the most part Gaelic came to my mind completely naturally. Feels like a dream come true!

The manuscript of the week is RIA MS C iii 1, the Annals of Connacht. This unique manuscript records episodes in the history of Gaelic Ireland for over three hundred years from AD 1224 to AD 1544, with one later entry added (in different ink) for the year 1562.
