Remember the days when a smartphone felt personal?

Letβs be intentional about our sharing. Before you hit βpost,β consider taking a moment to journal instead. Not only can this enhance your self-awareness, but it also allows you to refine your thoughts and communicate more effectively.

Journaling offers a powerful alternative to the compulsive posting that often drives anxiety and social comparison. By taking the time to process our thoughts privately, we can gain clarity before deciding what to share with the world.
Are we oversharing our lives online at the expense of genuine connection?
In today's digital age, the urge to share every moment can feel overwhelming. But have we lost sight of the value of personal reflection?
Start by jotting down your thoughts and feelings about your environment. It could be as simple as noting the weather or how a stranger's expression made you feel. This practice not only keeps you off your phone but also enhances your awareness.

By simply taking notes and journaling about our surroundings, we can regain our presence and clarity. Whether it's the sounds of the city during your commute or the feelings evoked by a sunny day, these small observations can lead to profound insights.
I recently explored the concept of liminal anthropology, a practice that encourages us to stand at the threshold between ourselves and the world, allowing each to inform the other.

In our fast-paced lives, we often forget to observe and absorb the richness around us.
1. You can drag views in the View menu to reorder them. The first one is the default view. 2. Right-click the View button to skip the view picker and edit the current view. 3. Bases can be embedded as .base files or as code blocks (like Dataview). Both use the same syntax. 4. Use [[BaseName.base#ViewName]] to embed a specific view. 5. Views have layout options. For tables you can set row height. For cards you can set card size and cover image. 6. The Results count is clickable and lets you limit results and export to CSV/clipboard. 7. With the Properties menu open, you can navigate to a property in the list using arrow keys, and hold Opt key (Alt on Windows) to move the property up or down the list. 8. Double-click a column divider to reset the column width. 9. You can place base files in sidebars to create custom views, like a recent files view, or attachments view. 10. When embedded in a note, this.file refers to the current note. In a sidebar, this.file refers to the active note.

While this shift may seem like a death sentence for the web as we knew it, I believe it could lead us to a more human-centric future. A future where we spend less time glued to screens and more time engaging with the world around us.
