Looks like the next chance of severe weather returns this Sunday (3/15) for portions of the MS/OH/TN Valley regions. Magnitude of this setup will depend on how much moisture return we get from the gulf along with instability in a strongly kinematic environment. Will watch for storm chase potential.

Opted out on today’s chase in Illinois. I am currently working on upgrading on equipment that will not only change how I storm chase but improve how I chase (new vehicle, cameras, filming, software etc.) I’m pretty excited for the future storm chasing wise.

Aborting mission. I’m going home. Got in the circulation near Chelsea, OK. Didn’t see anything on the ground. Roads were abysmal and nearly got into a wreck because of a curve that was impossible to see because of blinding rain/RFD and trees. Worst two days of chasing I’ve ever had.

According to NWSLincoln this was an EF-0 tornado that crossed hwy 33 in front of us. It mainly caused tree damage. This was before we documented the Flat Woods, IL EF-1 tornado not long after we dropped this tornado warned cell. Have now documented two tornadoes from 2/19 tornado outbreak. #ilwx

#OTD one year ago I ended a wild year that was 2024 with a large wedge EF-3 tornado near Bude, MS. Part of a substantial second season tornado outbreak across Louisiana & Mississippi.
