I HAVE considered a CVAR for the standalone version of the Deriver mod that has him only wielding the pistol and sword where his power is massively amplified. That's where I'd do that combo.

Call it Cannonball mode.

We'll see if I do it, I really should wrap this project up for my own sake, lol.

I have been so tempted to give him something like Omega's combo where he fires his gun twice and follows up with a nasty slash wave, but I can't think of a way to implement it with the current inputs I have without making it a mess.

That and I'm sticking to a classic stage-duration berserk.

That's a fun intro, also I can't get enough of Simon's mugshot up there in the HUD, you've made him so reactive to everything.

I think that'll work for a temporary sword upgrade.

Oh hey the spear tip being an actual thing in the world is pretty cool. Nice work.

I've been messing around with the Deriver's plasma gun again. So here's what I got right now:

Pressing the fire button: 10 round burst, plasma bolts travel faster than vanilla
Hold the fire button: Devastating short range laser.

Disregard my last remark I somehow failed to notice the Imp flinching when you shot him, lmao.

Very slick, I see you also updated the second slash of his combo.
I also noticed enemies don't flinch, was that a case of RNG or is the plan to not have flinch for weaker attacks?

I still keep GIMP on hand for doing edits, the perspective tool is a godsend.
It's the people who animate in GIMP that scare me.

Ah to hell with it, I can't figure out anything to play tonight and I've already stalled for like an hour and a half. I'm skipping tonight's game night.
I do have something fun planned soon though, and I'm really looking forward to showing you all that, but it's not yet time.

Nowadays I go for the desert in the hopes of finding a Digtoise. He makes that so much easier.

Would you believe it was pretty easy? I used GIMP's perspective tool to bend the slash arcs to what I needed.
and hell Deriver is very much inspired by Omega, so I figured I'd just yoink Zero's saber slash effects for him, lol.

Phew, okay, that's all of his attacks done. One step closer to finishing this guy!

Same. I dislike drawing hands so much that I just make crude models so I don't have to draw them.
Which in retrospect is probably one of the silliest ways to get around having to draw something.
