i know, i used to want to do stuff like that until I read about actual scam factories, &a lot of the time the people sending them really dont want to but they're being forced to. like literally, passport removed from them and forced to stay on a compound with threat of physical violence.

small reminder: dont respond to these, just block them, most often the people carrying out these text scams are being held against their will on massive compounds where they suffer a lot of abuse. but also if you respond even jokingly they mark your number as active & you'll just get more text/calls

I think that if the scam factories want to trick me into believing something's wrong with my driver's license that i need to give my personal infomation for immediately they shouldnt text me from a philippines area code

i ended up creating "landing pages" for each "project" or subject which also lives within a folder where all of those pages will be dumped. I also need to jump into the prolific community plugin scene but wanted to grapple with the vanilla experience first

it was hard to wrap my head around the logic of how things are linked and how it's very specifically not like Notion in that way, and I want to have a space where I am dumping a LOT of different creative ideas in their own pots so I know where to find them later.

yeah thats the hardest part of starting-- i felt the same way about notion to a degree, like, i want to start out on the right foot and have it well organized from the start but i think Obsidian isn't as "beginning friendly"

honestly the more i fiddle with it the more i really like it though

theyre betting on the "longish" haul, they really think it's going to replace people completely

execs who are betting on it being good enough someday to straight up replace artists. theyre training them on it now because theyre betting on the public getting used to it eventually and possibly being able to fire all the artists they paid to paint over it during the run up. :[ my guess anyway.

watched Hank Green's video/interview w/ CS prof Cal Newport the other day and it made me angry that I can't be excited about the tech, at all. like Newport made specific usecases for it sound really interesting and worthwhile but to me it's just permanently tainted by the fuckery it's wrought.

hey good luck!! honestly therapy and finding good therapy resources is so much harder than it should be. and I hate that we are sometimes just at the whims of whatever therapist we are assigned to haha. ive been lucky but i've also had some duds so I get it. it's worth the search though.

all this talk of mindfulness and therapy and for some reason I've just never committed to maintaining one. I journal A LOT, like, a lot a lot, so i think i always thought that was the same thing but I think i need to jsut have a specific journal only for gratitude.
