On World Book Day, I started reading a book about the history of comic books. Seems appropriate.
Let me know what you think.

My current escape from <all this> is books.
Writers: βHow can I be promoting my books while The Horrors escalate daily?β
Everyone one Bluesky: βThese are
my emotional support books. They are the only thing that makes life in this hell forsaken timeline bearable.β
Did you see one of your Heated Rivalry boys did a stripper sketch on SNL? Just purifying your timeline.
Love purple!
Most comics should be TV especially ones with decades long continuity. X-men is definitely one.
Great thread. Leeann is a brilliant artist.

The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore
This one is excellent. It goes into the psychology, feminism and philosophy that led to the creation of Wonder Woman. Very well researched and told by the author. (Another audiobook for me).
Reading an excellent book on the origins of Wonder Woman. It's a lot more complex than that movie that came out a decade ago suggested. It cut out people and the timeline of the events in the movie is off too.
Minnesota is a "donor state" (pays more than it gets) so it should cut its funding of the federal government and sees who blinks first.
You reminded of that guy that never published a comic book but created the best comics publisher. I don't think he's released a book but I haven't checked in a while.
Or their own children probably.
Comparing Donald Trump to other presidents is like comparing John Wayne Gacy to other clowns.

The lovely cover of Where We Stand, Where We Fall. A mysterious moon in the sky over an icy world with a distant alien city.
My book Where We Stand, Where We fall is now up for pre-order. It's about the politics of Doctor Who, the themes the show keeps returning to over sixty years.
I mentioned this last week, but now there's a proper post about it, with a 30% discount code from the publisher: lmmyles.com/2025/11/26/b...

Painting of Link with a million little gadgets and weapons from across the games. I worked harder on this in a 5 week period than any other thing Iβve ever painted. I think I almost died working on this lol
Happy Zelda 40th anniversary!
A Katsuya Terada Zelda illustration. Link walks up some dark stairs
A Katsuya Terada Zelda illustration. Link looks at an ancient mural of a dream whale
A Katsuya Terada Zelda illustration. Link battles a shadow version of themselves
A Katsuya Terada Zelda illustration. Link comforts a wounded man in the sewers
The 40th anniversary of Zelda is all the excuse you need to submerge yourself in classic Katsuya Terada art.

An amazing book. The authorβs latest book is already on my read pile.
