After the attempt, I spent two weeks in the hospital. The lack of resources almost destroyed me. I am lucky to live in Massachusetts and have had MassHealth and Medicare for much of the last 20 years. If you disagree that healthcare is a right, get out of my life.

On this day, 20 years ago, I was hospitalized after an attempt to end things. I started a new job, but it was definitely wrong for me and I lost it. I lost my health insurance. With no health insurance, I could not see doctors or get meds. I had no coverage for months.
