Pops & Twine (49 Station Road, Belmont) is the best parlour I've been to.
Feel free to visit for quality drinks, waffles, and ice cream at decent prices.

"Zelda's Adventure" on the Philips CD-i was reviewed by UK CD-i Magazine TWICE! First in Issue 7 from 1994, and second in Issue 17 from 1996. #zelda #LegendofZelda #CDI #videogames #retrogaming
Ooh, a Tiger handheld. Were they disliked back then, too?
Life has been slow here and there. But Spring is only a month away. Nothing like going out in the sun and reading a book at a park.
Lara's OG motorcycle was a Norton Commando modified like a cafรฉ racer. Note the distinctive crankcase cover.
Was originally just a generic sportsbike but myself and Neal (who really loved his motorbikes too) decided it should fittingly be a British classic instead.

I remember when playing the game for the first time, I got excited when I saw Lara riding a bike. I was anticipating bike-riding gameplay, only to find out there's none. Was vehicular gameplay an idea that had to be scrapped during development?
I heard of this game years ago. I remember hearing it was good.
I own a handful of NES Disney games, and this is probably my favourite for its core mechanics. "Darkwing Duck" was alright, and I didn't like the Chip and Dale game.
I'm aware the SNES version has a rockin' title theme. One of the best tunes I've heard on the console.
Okay. Awesome! I played the GBC trio from first to last and found them amusing from a design standpoint, like how the first two had an item system simultaneously function as health that was then replaced in the Paris one by a simple health system.
Partially related, how big was "Rugrats" in the UK?
This didn't cross my mind until just now, but didn't Software Creations develop all four of the Rugrats Game Boy platformers? I own the GBC ones and found them interesting, not to mention visually stunning.
What about the Sega Saturn? I heard that console was a headache for some studios. It was only recently I learned what the two VDP chips do on a surface level. ๐
Quite the good deal. Michael Jackson was pretty fun on the Master System, even though the audio was hard on the ears.
Which console outside the PS2 and PS3 would you say had the steepest learning curve?
Lara referred to as Laura by Aspyr (c. 2022)
Lara / Laura - even the publishers sometimes get it wrong ๐
From what little I played, it was a fun puzzle game.
Is that a Mattel Intellivision!? ๐คฏ
From what I've played of "Tomb Raider: Legend", I'd probably put it on the same level as the original game, even though it plays much more like a linear action movie.
From what I've seen, it looks worse than the NES version.
Something I wanted to know for a few years was why didn't the Aladdin game live up to the quality of this one? Comparing the two is like night and day. ๐ฅ
Ah, so a "Chase HQ" story before the "Chase HQ" story. ๐
We got this but not Ninja Turtles 3 in the UK? Yikes!
It's not up there with the first, but I still liked the sequel.
In 1982, computers were beginning to take off in Europe. Consoles were also around, but they and their games were comparatively expensive in what were hard times for most. However, if you were reasonably well off and could afford a 2600, these are likely what you'd want for Xmas.
I have a copy of "Starmaster" somewhere. It has a WHSmith sticker on it, and I think it said ยฃ19.99.
I have some admiration for Tiertex Design Studios. I have a few of their Master System efforts (Star Wars, Paperboy, and Impossible Mission) and enjoyed them plenty. ๐

Well done our lass.
However, I suspect most of those magazine covers were in the 90s and 00s so it's hardly a contest nowadays. And I imagine Aloy is looking quite large in the rearview mirror too.
Let's hope CD and Amazon don't rest on their laurels, eh...
This is one of those games I liked as a teen but struggle to play now. By comparison, I regularly revisit 4, 3 and even 1.
