It seems like a good time to reread Jack Finney's paranoid Cold War era science fiction horror novel, INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS.
I never got rid of my Blu ray player or VCR. I've got quite the collection for the downfall of society.
I don't want to heart that message. People can suck.
For the last five days, I've been felled by a mystery virus - not Covid and not the flu. Because of that, I was able to revisit the dream worlds of David Lynch. He was, and is still, truly an inspiration for living the art life, living authentically, and inspiring others to do the same.
I thought that as well when I rewatched the film over the weekend.
Indeed it is!

As part of my self care, I'm revisiting favorite writers, music, and movies. Yesterday, I finished Kurt Vonnegut's novel, CAT'S CRADLE, on his birthday, no less! Today, starting Ray Bradbury's dystopian classic, FAHRENHEIT 451. The opening passage strikes an ominously familiar chord.
