imo they both have issues, though I prefer 2. It's good to have an indicator of who is speaking, which is especially important with more characters onscreen. However, the standard convention is to show the dialog uefn above and to the side and possibly in a bubble, so #1 is confusing.

...like building up a more muscular leg on one side, or if it's mechanical (can't tell for sure) it might have additional supports or braces on the right leg to handle the extra load.
This is a cool idea. I'd love to see it tilted to the side with the right leg more bent to reflect the extra weight it's carrying on that side. If it's been this way a while, it's probably adjusted to being off-center...

Waterworld always felt to me like someone had a really cool idea for a world and it’s hero and spent months detailing his story, his ship, and his journey and then got bored and gave it to a 3rd grader to come up with villains and finish the rest of the lore.
