Last night I was down a rabbit hole of why fish can't exist deeper than around 8000 meters and I realized that the deepest a fish has ever gone in the ocean and survived was in a submersible. The fish were people. All vertebrates are fish.

my grandma called the other day, saying she'd be thinking about me all week because she watched a segment on The Today Show about birdwatching, how it's good for engaging various parts of your brain, etc. which is hilarious in and of itself (1/5)

They erased our lives But not our memories. First, they came for the queers. But we weren’t part of the fucking poem.

this poem feels apt for the current uniquely american calamity we once again find ourselves in. my empathy is reserved for those who don’t build their entire platform on normalizing the avoidable deaths of gun violence and villainizing marginalized communities. apparently too high of a bar for some.
