Very few houses here have gated or long driveways, almost none in city centres have garages, and most front doors are old with fragile locks. Doesn't help we exclusively keep car keys no more than 1 metre from the front door for some reason. Julie Andrews told us to do it guess.

Switching from .net to rails after ~17 years for a new role has been a hell of a ride.
It's like a really productive wild west where CPU is plentiful, and databases are still process-forked.
It's a nice language and platform, I get why people like building apps in it.
