My take on "Zionism" is still that it's an increasingly dumb and unhelpful concept of reference in an era where an Israeli state, politics and nationalism exists and can be analysed in itself rather than endlessly litigating abstract hypothetical ideological arrangements.
When talking historically about pre-1948 political movements in Palestine and Europe, "Zionist" has some utility as a term. When the state of Israel is a concrete reality of the Middle East for the past 75 years, you can just talk about it instead of imagined other versions of it.
Just utterly out of words to describe what we’re seeing.

I would personally disagree with Ebert’s take. The rules are meant to facilitate a type of experience, but you still experience emotions, react, and think.
