The same gender system that is making trans people miserable is behind looksmaxxing and male loneliness. This is an issue that Dems could champion as part of a critique of Trumpism rather than sweep under the rug.

How does anyone listen to Clavicular or RFK Jr. and come away thinking the right is in a stronger position on gender politics and we should throw feminism under the bus

Does anyone think biological gender is working well as an explanatory system? It’s the emperor with no clothes

06.03.2026 19:25 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I mean ffs we have RFK Jr. running around as Health Secretary drinking raw milk and we can’t muster any affirmative of feminist and queer perspectives? They’re what’s needed universally.

What cis person doesn’t have all kinds of ambivalences toward the gender system? The disavowal of trans people as part of the public sphere is an expression of the same system as incel culture and β€œmale loneliness,” and it hurts everyone. We can’t heal through suppression.

It’s certainly better than transphobia, but I wish I would hear politicians CELEBRATE trans people instead of downplay their existence.

Whether it’s 2 trans people or 200,000, they are being used as a proxy issue to discipline EVERYONE’S relation to gender, freedom, and public belonging.

I’m not particularly informed on military/defense capabilities, but I interpreted this as being more like bombings or other terror attacks originating in the U.S. with some link to Iran.

We shouldn’t take for granted that after Trump all the Nazis will stay in the hollowed-out GOP

Out of the Shadows: Public Banking for Municipal Finance By Tyler Suksawat & Scott Ferguson In a recent essay, we advanced a proposal for sub-federal governments to sell municipal bonds to their own public banks. We took the city as our primary point…

"Establishing a public bank that regularly purchases municipal debt... would not only significantly expand a city’s fiscal capacity to support its communities and environs, but also reclaim regional public finance from a parasitical... bond market."

Striking that among legacy media it is pretty much only pop-cultural outlets that still do honest political reporting, despite (because) they’re feminized and celebrity-adjacent.

Indeed I think it is not coincidental that so many aesthetic forms that thematize citation and intergenerational recognition emerge in the context of monetary underinvestment and deprivation.

Everyone is already part of the world, so the politics of job creation cannot be separated from the politics of citation, recognition, and reparations. These are not different struggles but linked questions of participation and repair.

The culmination of neoliberal epistemology is betting markets replacing all forms of knowledge and critical discourse.

It's great for authoritarianism since it trains people to predict and hedge around world events rather than shape them or take responsibility in any way.

Again: Not hyperbole, misinterpretation, or a joke that Christian Dominionism is a strain of apocalyptic accelerationism which VERY LITERALLY SEEKS to hasten their vision of the Biblical end of the world, & the people who believe this have VERY CAREFULLY worked their way into the halls of U.S. power

When all your regional allies besides Israel are US-backed dictatorships with supermajorities who oppose the government, the capacity for a war with Iran seems... tenuous

Waiting for reputable English-language reporting/translations to come out but it sure seems like the popular mood in the Gulf States is more Arab Spring than "destroy Iran"
