Something I realized thinking back on Yoshiwara. Scars to liberate vs Scars to imprison. Ironically, the "liberation" scars worked because the women are "damaged goods", but the "imprisonment" scars that were meant to physically disable stopped nothing.

My Gintama rewatch with my friend has finally reached Yoshiwara! This is probably my favorite arc in the show, it's very hard to compete with the final arcs but I love it so much. We're going to watch the entire thing on Sunday and I'm so excited to re-experience it with him!

How come nobody told me Monogatari Second Season was good

I appreciate Araragi as a character, but his absence here lets Senjougahara and Hanekawa bounce off each other in such a captivating way. Senjougahara is awesome, the way she's helping Hanekawa makes me smile :)

#Anime #Monogatari - Second Season EP 1 - Good episode that reminded me about the qualities of this series that I enjoy most! Following Hanekawa after KuroNeko is a great choice, her dynamic with Senjougahara was a welcome surprise. Very efficient character work all around, and very touching.

Golden Kamuy Season 4

Continuing the momentum from season 3, this season is nearly non stop character development and setup for a big finale in season 5. Too many character revelations to count, a Sugimoto backstory, and peak Asripa development.

Fair, his introduction episode does a lot of heavy lifting for me! I'm a little hazy on the details but I think I liked his role in silver soul as well.

Currently listening to the Yoshiwara Movie OST on YT music, I can't believe my ears right now. Seeing this movie in the theater must be otherworldly

Ive never thought of this before its so fitting omg

His entire background as an intelligence officer combined with how thoroughly he has groomed and utilized his officers never ceases to amaze. We're seeing the lengths he's willing to go to for his goal and we don't even know what his goal actually is!

Tsurumi is such a sick freak he's amazing. What a fascinating antagonist man. Golden Kamuy continues to impress with each passing episode, it's really starting to feel like everything is going to explode and I can't wait.

I'm so jealous! I know SEA loves Gintama a lot so I'm not surprised, I'm in the U.S and folks don't watch Gintama very much. A theatrical release would be awesome but I don't know if it will happen, sadly.
