🐘 In an effort to promote more ethical tourism and support animal welfare, Indonesia has officially banned elephant riding as an activity!
According to the BBC, the Trevi Fountain currently receives “on average 30,000 visitors per day.”
But, if you’ve EVER visited the Trevi fountain, you’d likely agree that €2 is worth it if it does, indeed, help with crowd control. Currently there is no access cap, but once the fee is implemented the crowd will be limited to 400 at a time.
⛲️ Reminder that starting next month, if you visit the Trevi fountain in Rome, Italy, an entry fee is required to make that wish up close.
