57 years ago today I was graduated from Nursing School. One of the two best decisions I ever made.

Today was 🌈Lucy’s Gotcha Day 2016. It had been 51 years since I had a dog in my life. Finally I was fully retired & could care for a dog.
Lucy was ~11y/o w/ bad arthritis & 🖤 murmur. I rescued her. She was my soul-dog.
She lived 3 more yrs. 🌈❤️🐕🦺💔😢. Miss you sooo much.
New Year’s Eve: Sauerkraut and pork with a wonderful German mustard; and a shandy (beer & ginger ale) to drink.
German tradition from my great-grandparents: Cabbage for good luck at the new year 🇩🇪🍺🥬❤️.
Christmas dinner for one. Baked ham with cranberry & walnut chutney, baked caramel apples, scalloped potatoes, asparagus and Prosecco. Later carrot cake for dessert. 🌲🎅🏻❤️🎉🤝.
