Oh, wow. I didn't know about that..

Also "Hot Reload" is a super useful asset. All your code changes are immediate without any delay, even when you change code while in playmode. It's paid, but has a very extensive trial version. You can download the trial from their website: hotreload.net.
Go to Project Settings -> Editor -> When Entering Playmode: Reload Scene only
It's the first thing I do when starting a new project. You can also select "Do not reload Domain or Scene", then you just have to press Ctrl+R in Unity, to update your code changes manually.
Oh, our game "Bake Jack" made it to #5 / 2,299 in the Brackeys Game Jam 2025.2.
My best game jam result so far ๐.

Yes, it was a 1-week-long jam. Thank you so much! ๐
Our entry for the Brackeys Jam ("Risk it for the biscuit"):
Bake Jack
A blackjack inspired deck-builder, where you have to bake cookies and feed racoons before they attack you.
Any thoughts or feedback would be truly appreciated ๐ฅฐ

๐ Wow, unfortunately that's a bit too far away for me. But I think it makes a wonderful place for getting inspirations.
Yay, congrats! So cool! I will play it after the GMTK Game Jam as a reward :).
Thank you for sharing your encouraging story! It's always inspiring to see people "fail" until they succeed. I've always wanted to try your game, and now I'm even more intrigued! ๐

Hey! I love your community, especially your live streams. I'm developing a little park creation game, and I would love to be added ๐.
Uh thanks for sharing! Inspires me to create something with it, too ๐
Uh, I love potion crafting games, can't wait to see more ๐
Looks really nice! I love the colors you've chosen. What kind of cozy game do you make?
Haha, add a few "New Folder (x)", and it looks like my system :D
Oh man, that reminds me of the time, when my dad introduced me to video games, when I was about 4 years old and I absolutely loved it. What an amazing project!
Wow, that looks quite complex, but also really interesting! I'll definitely check out the demo ๐!
That looks way more professional and interesting! I would definitely click on it, if I saw that on steam ๐. It also fits very well to the overall style of the game. I'll check out the demo, I love card games :).
Personally, I would stick with the cartoon style. Very few pixel art games actually have a capsule in pixel art. You can convey more expression/emotions that way, which leads to more interest. Unless you maybe have a really unique style. Great job on your son's drawing btw :)
Omg, the little guy's animation, haha, love it!
I second that! Cozy genre would be great! :) Even though its more a vibe than a genre..
The top one is lacking some focus. The text is not easy to read. The green dragon tail fights with the green "Dragon" text for attention. The logo of the bottom one is really good. But it misses some character. Some hint to the genre would also be nice, because the title doesn't reveal much about it
Wow, what an accomplishment, congrats! When did you start voice acting?
Cool! Looking forward to it :).
Oh looks like really nice concept! I'll definitely wishlist it :). Do you plan to release a demo?
ohh test 3 schon :D
I finished my 2nd game jam as an artist ๐ฅณ.
(BossRushJam,Theme: Spin)
My amazing team members and me created a deckbuilding action game, where your ability changes based on where you stand on the wheel.
You can play it here:
