Meanwhile we've gotten by for years on people just dying their hair grey and doing a good impression, and allowing our brains to go "Oh hey he's doing Clinton." such an amazing use of tech to liberate us from...suspension of disbelief...
Ah, I see that that Bloody Disgusting has already officially announced that this is the series finale. Well then, Don't cry because it's voer, smile because it happened, etc etc...
I guess in part I'm bummed bc I always hoped I'd get to hear JB reading off the drive-in totals for one of my films...
That said, as a fan who was too young to be up watching MONSTERVISION back in the '90s, having Joe Bob back for the better part of a decade, and doing his thing in a format with far less censorship, has been a real blessing, and I'll always e grateful fro him, Darcy, John, Yuki, etc.
I really hope we're all wrong about THE LAST DRIVE-IN and the news tonight is that he's just showing some movie he never thought he'd get to show.
Does he owe us anything? No, and these 8 years have been amazing, but I can't shake the feeling that I need more!
Cons: On the whole the layout makes it look like every other streaming site and I hate how cramped the thumbnail art is on the movies and series pages.
Pros and Cons of Shudder's new look:
Pros: I like that the tab for "My List" is now right on the side with everything as opposed to buried by the my account page like before. Shudder TV having a little schedule bar is nice (maybe they'll bring back other channels)?
THE SHINING is a horror movie because it depicts a writer having to get a part-time job.
Can't wait to show it to people! I'll be sure to send you a link directly.
I love the OG Japanese Ring. i’m looking forward to discussing it, as well as the original made for Japanese tv movie that was made in 1995 (you can find it on YouTube, it’s wild).
Re-watching THE RING (2002) for an upcoming podcast project and man, You can really see why this was the movie that ended up defining the look of ‘00s horror.
This is such brilliant idea that I’m kind of angry we’ll never get it. Would lover to see Coogler’s take on my all time favorite mutant (Nightcrawler).
Great minds think alike
Chuck’s the laugh at the beginning of Feel Good Inc., confirmed.
I whisper this to myself anytime I get a whiff of new drama kicking up in the horror world.
I’m currently playing through it myself and I can confirm that it. is. *wild.* They are going balls to the walk with this one and it rules.
This was a great piece with a gut punch of a last line, because yeah, they will absolutely go with whatever script Landis pushes out, when McBride’s is what we need.
Spiraling in is so much worse! Now I’m in control and I have to handle shit!
I reject the idea that I shouldn't be able to make a living off of making the art I love!
Hell yeah. Heists rule!
I learned this a few years ago when the former penned a new issue of "What If..?" with Blade and the cashier at my local comic shop had to explain it to me
I’d argue you did it best
I like a good hopeful ending and all but we’re talking about literal unsustainable life secanrios here, the only hope comes from avoiding the bombs being launched! Once that happens it’s pretty much game over. I thought we all knew this!
Nakedly so, they are doing nothing to hide it. The deniably plausibility becomes translucent by the time you get to the last line.
I remember reading somewhere that the inflated population was a mandate from the execs, apparently they were worried about audiences not relating to it if it felt *too* small town, which just beggars belief.
I read the bill. It is obviously meant to outlaw any queer lit in schools. It claims to not be aimed an art/literature that falls under the umbrella of "the classics," which, setting aside the problematic nature of what's considered "canon" anyway, means everything else is on the chopping block.
I have a new life goal now
I say this as someone who had a fascination with him in post-CHRONICLE: He's not even a talented screenwriter, he's really just a fairly skilled pitchman. And even if he was the next William Goldman, it still wouldn't excuse his horrible behavior. He should never have Hollywood privileges again.
I've been trying to forget it for years!
