Oh that's a tough question! Hmmmm. Playing Beatie Bow by Ruth Park is certainly one of my favourites. It's more steampunk fantasy than sci-fi but the Soulless series by Gail Carriger. Artemis by Andy Weir is good. Tbh it's been awhile since I've read any sci-fi
