Now that the worst case scenario is playing out in regards to the recent Dusk Golem rumors surrounding a third Resident Evil 1 Remake, making it clear they're just gonna do all of it again cuz why not, I atleast hope Capcom won't pull a Sega and delist the original REmake's remaster
It's very convincing, but this looks way too much like Odyssey 2.
Tokusatsu Mario is a hilarious idea tho, so I kinda hope it's real.
Everytime one of these happens, I cling onto that "and more" for dear life, knowing I'll be disappointed 9 times out of 10

also alot of Raccoon City has very obnoxious "Remember this?" moments that do not fit with the game's story and is there for cheap fanservice. A shame cuz RE's writing has been great since RE7, but Iunno. I guess with the promise of going back to Raccoon City I was hoping for a little more substance
Some of my biggest annoyances with this game come from Leon's segments.
He feels better than he did in REm4ke, but he also doesn't at the same time, cuz when later enemies are more resistant to stagger during the second half, you're at odds with the parrying system which still doesnt feel good to me
23. Resident Evil Requiem (8/10)
Very good. The care center segment is some of the best RE in the franchise, and the Raccoon City segment is some of the dumbest RE in the franchise, both in good ways but also in bad.
Bro I need the zombies in Leon's half of Requiem to fuck off. Does the game have headshot staggers into melee attacks or not? Tf is this shit
Jury's out on RE9 but I will say this. I *really like the game's first half.

It almost cheapens the show that it's tied to the MCU, because it's so tender and heartfelt. There are no crappy CGI fight scenes or obnoxious references. Everything in the show has purpose from beginning to the end. The only bad parts is some of the pacing and that we wont see a S2 cuz this bombed
22. Wonder Man (8.5/10)
These days I value authenticity a lot, and there's just so much of that on display here. Abdul-Mateen and Kingsley's relationship is just so realistically developed that it truly feels like you're seeing two guys trying to break in, yet are hopelessly tied to their origins

Deadlock is an easy 10/10 that can very quickly and easily turn into a 4/10 if you do not play with a group that understands that it's a "TEAM" game
they're calling it the most poorly aged video of all time
Just gonna say it now. When Deadlock comes out this year, it's a pretty easy contender for GOTY for me.
Valve actually has made something incredibly special with that game that has it's hooks in me extremely hard.
21. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (6/10)
Tails and Knuckles are alright. Jim Carrey still the GOAT. The human characters are worse and as a "found family" enjoyer, I did not like Sonic referring to Tom as his "dad". Was getting bored halfway into it. By the 3rd act I was like "how is this still going?"
They go for Sonic being more annoying and a childlike innocent character than his Adventure personality while also giving him a sad backstory that felt really unnecessary and weird. Giving Sonic baggage isn't a bad idea, but the way it's written just felt very hands off and uninspired.
20. Sonic The Hedgehog (6.5/10)
Jim carries (heheh) a large portion of the movie. One of his best roles. Everything else was just sort of meh. The human characters were fine, many of the fight scenes were good. It was aight. Was tuning out a bit towards the end but it was enjoyable.
19. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (6/10)
Watched it a bunch as a kid and somehow I forgot the blatant transphobic (and homophobic) villain reveal. I guess I didn't really think much of it at the time, but watching it with a modern lens is a true flash bang moment.
Still a really funny movie tho.

I'll say it as many times as I need, but the fidelity, coloring and shading of the season 1 adaptation, has absolutely nothing to do with what I consider to be Chainsaw Man. Colors being completely washed out and shading trying to be too realistic, completely messes with the tone of CSM
Everyone killed it here. The actors killed it. Kensuke Ushio on the music killed it. The direction is the best change they could've possibly made and finally actually looks representative of the original art style. I'm so thankful MAPPA did a 180 on this cuz it would've been so easy to just continue
