Early morning at Derwentwater in January. Blue skies with white fluffy clouds reflected in the calm lake. A thin veil of mist is lifting over the lake. The boat moorings are reflected in the water. Soft light and within 15 minutes the whole of the lake was bathed in glorious winter sunshine.

I’m not in favor of any war with Iran or w/ US assassinations. But it’s interesting that I’ve seen lots of (old) folks saying it’s payback for the deaths of marines in Lebanon in the ‘80s, and none mentioning Rushdie, which to me was much more shocking. Again tho: I’m still against this gross war
