Thrilled to see VERITAS out in @nejm.org today. Nav bronch noninferior to transthoracic needle biopsy for lung nodules 10-30 mm. Nav bronch made an accurate diagnosis in 79% vs. 73% for TTNB, with pneumothorax requiring chest tube and/or hospitalization in 1% vs. 12%, respectively.

Today I learned that there is a super tiny ferromagnetic screw on the Cook Multipurpose drains, causing confusion if your patient has a drain & needs an MRI. But is this a safety risk? The screw will experience magnetic force, but this can be easily overcome by securing the device to the patient.

I'm so sorry for your loss.... Deepest condolences 😞
