I think #SGA wins award, but I define "Most Valuable" as what Jokić did this season, regardless of team success. There's an arbitrary cap on MVP wins: Jordan with 5, LeBron with 4, and no one with 3 in a row since Bird (83-86). Voter fatigue and #NBA fandom's obsession over the GOAT debate are real.

My opinion? Jokić put up the best individual numbers, but history shows MVPs are rewarded for team success. Shai’s MJ-level dominance has led #OKC to the best record in the league.

Using SRS, this OKC squad is the best team we've seen since 1980 – just beating out the '96 Bulls and '17 Warriors.

Now, take a look at the model from @basketball-reference.com which puts Jokić on top and Shai right behind. It seems their model values individual performance more than team success.
