Israel had Mossad, and Russia had the KGB/FSB work with Epstein to compromise many Western leaders and wealthy pedo's (not mutually exclusive)
It paid dividends, up to and including owning the US presidency and our foreign policy.

worse, they make excuses for the DNC that decided we needed a Clinton dynasty (guess why in Trump's first election they didn't go after him related to Epstein... the answer is Bill), she was probably the only candidate who could lose to Donald by neutering that attack on him.
