I won
ConcernedApe's setup for a short period while developing Stardew Valley pre release
To this day I don't think there will be much as funny in the indie game space as "the Stardew Valley guy's desk fucking sucks"
Pussy: Love Story from Titanic (ZX Spectrum, 2000)
Oh god we're awake at the same time holy fuck
Lois from Malcolm in the Middle
Lukewarm take but she's hot
"AI is gonna take your job" I'd like to see AI turn a 4 cylinder engine into a 3 cylinder engine on sheer luck alone
I intentionally made her attractive
Pixel art of Louise in the air, twisted backwards, pointing her butt out
An illustration of Louise in the air, twisted backwards, pointing her butt out
Was such a big fan of this sprite I had to draw it twice
I know New Horizons has been a very grind-y game but I also think the dev team behind it fundamentally misunderstand what makes Animal Crossing work, because it's not the crafting sandbox shit that's fun, it's the social sim aspects that are.
I'm not saying you have to play it at all, it's okay to not like it, but I think it's possible you're just fundamentally misunderstanding what Animal Crossing is. It's not what I would call a grind-y game. It's very passive and works best when given about an hour or two each day.
Gf just said "this is some JRPG nerd bullshit"
In reading order, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Animal Crossing, Tomodachi 2, Celeste, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Paper Mario, Harvest Moon, and SimCity
Jesus fuck 7 out of 9 of these came out before 9/11 and 4 of them are on the SNES
Pikmin 4, which is by far not the worst offender, but it's still an annoying menu
We need to ban Nintendo from using radial menus, my god
I'm happy with how we were able to nerf one of the most powerful tricks in the game yet still let it maintain its niche as one of the most fun advanced movement techniques in the game. Here's a little thread about it #indie #gamemaker
You can Bunny Hop in Garbage Girl Louise, it's pretty cool. But only if you're good...
@squaggs Bluesky page with "colead and programmer: Garbage Girl Louise" circled
You tell me
zoe before
zoe after
shit gave Zoe a fuckin glow up
I don't like showing off too much super in-progress shit but my god splitting legs and giving characters "thigh gaps" is like a cheat code for good silhouettes
Does anyone even fucking develop for Mac anymore?
It's relatively capable for most things. A 2060 I've had that still keeps up, an i5-10400. Drivers I try to keep up to date. Other emulators have no issue running the game whatsoever, and Mesen has no issues running on any of my other computers, so I honestly am not sure lmao
Why βͺ@why.bsky.teamβ¬ Until December of last year I was using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding. It was nice for scaffolding out boilerplate, or giving me a gut check on some things, or banging out some boring routine stuff. In the past two months Claude has written about 99% of my code. Things are changing. Fast
in case you ever wondered why bsky breaks all the fuckin time and is increasingly a pile of jank

Ohhhh
Godly quick time event
So like, I love the skill expression in Mario Kart, but not as much the item game, so like what if I make something all about the skill, all about the tight lines, well timed drifts, and BASHING THE FUCK OUTTA PEOPLE AND BLOWING THER KARTS UP
Remember when Microsoft said Windows 10 would be the last Windows and get updated forever into the future? So that was fuckin hilarious wasn't it?
Mfw 2 Bluesky servers just shit the bed for no reason
Super Mario Kart but the track scaling is FUCKED UP
MESEN WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
Hmm maybe I should make a 2D racing game similar to SNES F-Zero where all the playable characters are lesbians and if you get gold in a cup, you're also rewarded with a (tasteful) pinup of the character you played as...
