His brother died in a storm drain. Now heβs fighting to make them safer.
Clay Kearns and his mother, Erica, want lawmakers to require local governments to address safety issues.
MASON'S LAW!
This bill hearing brought me to tears. RIGHT NOW, my colleagues and I on the Utility subcommittee are working hard to advance safety measures in State law to keep such a terrible tragedy from happening to another family!

Why would I be happy my website crashed last night?
Because even the internet couldn't handle how much was on my Constituent Resource Guide. After several hours of work it's back online with all of the resources still available. Please check it out and share.

HB 55 is a local control bill that will make our streets safer. Currently, elected officials from all around the state vote to place speed cameras on local roads they don't even know exist. Those decisions should be made locally by the police. HB 55 gives them that ability.
