Feels realistic to me
He needed to buck up months ago. Club has left it too late to save the league season.
Can’t see us getting relegated though.

If you just think he deserves the chance to try, I disagree. Club comes before any individual, regardless of what they’ve achieved in the past.

If he was getting anywhere near the best out of the squad I would agree. He isn’t and all this strategy will do is waste two seasons instead of one.
This is all true but it’s also not the main problem. We’ve had spells this season with near enough a fist choice team, and less intense schedules, and we were still awful in the league.
Depends on what sort of World Cup he has. Despite his struggles he’s still likely to be Germany’s starting striker.

It wasn’t hard to imagine in November / December though. It had already gone wrong and it as obvious Eddie wasn’t going to be able turn it around.
Club sat on its hands and then didn’t support him in the transfer market either.

I don’t see how he can start in anything other than a 442 where he played slightly deeper than someone with pace.
