The Maryland wine mogul who is staking his fortune on reaching Capitol Hill David Trone broke a record for self-funding his first Congressional bid in 2016. Now he's running again and support for Israel is etched firmly into his platform

In fact, David Trone is on the record against the very Obama-era deal meant to ensure Iran never developed a nuclear weapon: the JCPOA.

“I would have voted against the deal” he said in a 2018 interview.

I agree the U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran raise concerns. Where David Trone and I differ is my concerns don’t end at the lack of Congressional authorization for this war.

The path to nuclear nonproliferation is diplomacy, not bombing elementary schools and murdering kids abroad.
