My impression with dealing damage was that while HK Grimm and some others had a clear cycle of "dodge -> attack," here it felt intentionally designed to have you chase the boss down first and dodge second.

There was definitely something to getting in the UFO 50 rhythm and getting hit with a game that's actually just traditionally technically impressive. Spent a while just trying to figure out the rules - how do colors get picked, what gets seeded, etc. Helps the rest of the game is great too.

Pingolf for me was a very clear example of breaking down enjoyment into "is it fun to be bad / get good / be good at the game."
It's fun to master pingolf, you can definitely learn to feel the physics, but the lack of level select/level restart is such a speedbump on getting to that point.
