My friend Joe must have every indie game ever published, and he is on a quest to have us play them all. This is kind of Nausicaa meets UVG, and it’s pretty awesome.

Hadn't planned on running any official events at GenCon 2026, as I really enjoyed being responsibility free last year. But, feeling some hype, I decided to jump in. Just signed up to GM an Upwind session Thursday and a Blue Planet game on Friday. See you there!

D:WfA really evokes the source material. It’s got lots of simple decisions, but with strategic depth. It flows quickly, and it’s got fantastic table presence. It’s a must-play for any gamer who’s a Dune fan.

I realize it sounds unlikely, but I didn’t realize until after the original Blue Planet was published it was basically just an aquatic Dune. Makes sense I guess, because Dune is my favorite sci-fi story.

Makes sense then too that Dune: War for Arrakis is rapidly becoming my favorite board game.

I just want everyone to be Robin Hood.

Raise your hand if every RPG campaign you run, regardless of the original intent, just becomes allegorical anti-capitalism...
