yeah. his minimum is like twice a rookie min. There are some very weird paths the Ja trade could take, and one of them is a CP3 -> Rockets path, where he's traded this "league year" but after the playoffs, when you still need to use narrower matching rules and need extra low salary slots.

But signing two ways to standard contracts is how you continue to get quality two way players. If you continue to demonstrate you are a path to (or in OMax's case, back into) the NBA, then agents will trust you that you will be a good spot for their guys.
Roster crunch next summer won't be an issue. Between this contract, Gibson (both of whom might be non-guaranteed), and Taylor Hendricks, MEM has plenty of waivable/tradeable salaries. I've been less whelmed with OMax, who is making too many threes for his form.

I don’t think he’s v good. The only thing he has going for him is his body, which isn’t strong enough to do what his skill level needs him to do.
I think he can’t be anything better than a 4th guard until he gets his handle to a place where he can probe dribble. He offers nothing inside two point range. Defense is good, but not to SPJ good.

Clayton is pretty bad on defense, but I love his offensive game so far. SPJ is great. Might be our starting pg next year if we draft a different position.
