Awww that’s lovely. My parrot, Pickle, developed specific “dialects” in both sound and mannerisms around my current partner and shows preference to her while not being too keen on others. You can see her sussing out meaningful people to me and showing them tolerance and deference. It is magic!
Yup! And domesticated parrots have no biological difference than the ones in their natural habitat, making their ability to adapt to human culture incredibly meaningful!
Sir this is an insult to parrots 😤
But for a way-too-serious reply, parrots are superior. Being able to reason, have complex cognitive processes, and communicate their emotions. In fact! Birds are one of the only other species on earth that produce culture!
