When students get to move a shape around, they can see how the coordinates change. Patty paper (you know, the paper they put between hamburger patties)… is my go-to. I’m using some translucent sticky notes in this video, which are kinda nice because they stick. ✏️Tip: If you’re using patty paper/sticky notes/tracing paper… Be sure students trace the x-axis and y-axis first. Maybe with a pen or marker. For rotations around the origin, they’ll want to be sure the origin matches the original and tracing. Do you use tracing paper when you teach rotations?" Today, I worked with our 4th graders to make their way through a maze using their Dashbots. This is only their second time in Blockly, and they are just learning metric measurements. They had so much fun and had no clue they were learning. Metric measurements with estimation, and angles.

This is more complicated switch made for the use of a remote control for students. The glove is an actual hand switch made for students can simply touch their fingers together to make it go left right up or down.

Amazing use of Makey Makey again, for Assistive Technology with the use of the switch, or creating an interactive poster of the regions of virginia.

This is an adaptive book made with the Makey Makey. When you place the switch on the picture it reads it out loud to them.

Super cool adaptive book for Assistive Technology using Makey Makey! When you place the blue switch onto the image, it reads it aloud to the student. Great for low mobility, reading skills, or engaging students that need more visual and tactile stimulation.
