The demands continue for new features.
But today we listened! Another NEW feature has been added to Another Crab's Treasure...
βΌοΈLet Kril Say FUCKπ₯
Ooohhh, youβre so right. Now I know what Iβll be listening to tomorrow haha
To be fair, it may still be an all-timer show for me! Just so much to love. And gorgeous too. Take everything Iβve said with a grain of salt of course. I donβt work in the tv animation industry. And I imagine the creators wouldve made the show longer and even richer, given the chance
Id love to have seen the story paced out into 2-3 seasons. Particularly if that meant the addition of character exploring βfillerβ episodes! The characters shone despite the fast pace. But had the characters and their relationships been given more room to breath, the show couldve been and all-timer
I will say that like a lot of animated shows developed lately, maybe particularly by streaming services, the show had problems with inconsistent pacing. Super strong first 2 or 3 eps, very rushed and choppy middle, then a strong couple of finale eps. It felt like 3 seasons of a show in 13 episodes
Just finished watching Jentry Chau vs The Underworld!
It was so rich, thrilling and heartfelt. Having grown up in Dallas, TX, I was pretty tickled to see all the showβs painfully accurate depictions of a Texas suburban hellscape. Especially when that culture is clashing with the Chinese underworld
It really reaffirmed the importance of games for me! Working remote has its undeniable perks, but nothing builds camaraderie like spending even a few days. Especially at a an event like GDC.
And thanks! Guess germs come with the territory in addition to good times lol
On top of all these GDC experiences, I also got to meet the whole @turbobuttoninc.bsky.social team in person for the first time! Having them around and being able to talk about the delightful games weβve made together in the last 5 years gave me tons of confidence.
I hope to see yall again soon!
GDC highlights for me were
- playing the amazing Day of the Devs games
- the Austin Wintory conducted game music concert with all the insane guest appearances
- and of course meeting new friends in the park!
I hope to see you all again next year!
Wish I could have stuck around Thursday and Friday to hang out with all the new people I met. But sadly I caught the mother-of-all colds and am only just now starting to feel like a human again, instead of the snot monster Iβve been for a week.
GDC lived up to the hype. For 7 years Iβve worked remotely and not had much of a physical connection to the game industry. So it was really nice meeting a bunch of super kind devs and experiencing this celebration of the work we all do!
We made it. Turbo Button is 10 years old this week! That means we're finally old enough to play VR games!
We would not be here without the amazing support of our colleagues across the VR industry and all the people who continue to play our games. THANK YOU, and don't worry: we're not done yet!

A collection of five hand-drawn greeting cards, each representing an artist's interpretation of AI-generated art.
Nobody at Turbo Button could figure out how to make an AI-generated greeting card. But we heard studios like us are expected to use AI for everything now, so we commissioned some of our favorite artists to hand draw what they think those cards might have looked like.
Here's what they came up with.

PokΓ©mon TCG Pocket has consumed my life. Iβve been determined to make a functional Dragonite deck and this one has been working pretty well for me! Wish I could add another misty but not sure what to drop.
TCG* of course
Iβm loving PokΓ©mon TXG Pocket so much man.. I was obsessed with the original TCG on switch earlier this year, so the timing couldnβt be better. I pulled Charizard Ex and was so giddy
