As for our friend Lulu... I felt that her reply to you was unnecessarily derisive. I cannot stand for that kind of "holier-than-thou" bullshit, especially from my fellow Libs.
If that had been his question, then I would have agreed with you; however, that is *not* what he asked.
His question was:
"Does a strike impact ICE? or Noem?"
That is a legitimate question (IMO).
I think Old Salt asked a legitimate question. Many Americans probably don't know how resistance movements work.
These strikes and protests spread HOPE and a sense of community and solidarity, which ICE/CBP/trump admin will never be able to kill off.

I really was very lucky. My best friend's Dad won 2 tickets in a radio contest. We'd just graduated high school and were definitely the youngest people in the audience. Ella was absolutely amazing! Her scatting was off-the-charts, and her banter was a bit risque. 😉 Wonderful experience!

My paternal grandmother. She was born in the Oklahoma Territory in 1898 and passed away in 1977. I never asked her about her childhood and early adulthood, and I'd love the chance to hear her story. More than anything, I'd just love to hug her again and tell her I love her.
