Thereβs a clear market for insurance companies to βtotalβ otherwise repairable cars at the moment. Just been dealing with it. Fortunately I got my car back and repaired from the auction yard they took it to with just a βvideoβ appraisal.
Iβm assuming Bondi will be next under the bus at this point.
Itβs there with special car parking operations for importance.
We can live in hope.
One was a truck driver later depot manager for a large brewery.
The other was a political agent, βfarmerβ and terrible gambler.
Probably sets me up perfectly for this Congress. π
Itβs been a hard day.
Paging Beryl Robinson to the white curtesy telephone... did you forget to file that form?

I have also discovered some NZ beers that are significantly more potent too :)
Well in Star Trek cannon we are currently in the middle of WW3 :)
I am somewhat tired of trying to pick a beer for a single beer with a lunch if I expect I might have to drive and finding that none of the beers are remotely safe for purpose and not bothering.
We do have a local brewery that does a 3.8% which makes a change.
I was considering that in days gone by doing 8-10 beers in a day at an SF con wouldnβt have been considered especially insane. Doubt I could do that now.
I donβt drink like this this anymore but Iβm fairly sure Iβve got a 1/3 of the way or more at some 4 day conventions without really appearing too much the worse for wear. Different times :)
Definitely when at uni in the 80s.
Well, as a student making a big pot of ground beef with a 'flavor' and eating it with pasta or potato was a thing... did it stop being a thing?
I asked @biilmann.blog how to build good AX; @daveon.bsky.social tells me how to manage & monitor MCP, @cote.io and @knime.com bring up data architecture, @amandaksilver.bsky.social talks me through how to set up agentic AI to pay attention to your AX work - and how that's working out at Microsoft
Turned out he was only stressed at the shelter and is largely comatose in his new home without them.
I can neither confirm nor deny the value of the meds the old arthritic dog had for her arthritis nor comment on the doses given the much higher efficiency of canine livers.
So also trazadone which the current dog came with 200 of.

Feels like we should start calling him Jeb.
Iβve always wondered about Kings Lynn to be honest. Ever since we went to Hunstanton for a holiday as a kid.
Creamy meringue just doesnβt have the same ring does it?
See also; the sky was the color of a TV tuned to a dead channel.
So, like bright blue with βNo Signalβ in the middle Uncle?
Time isnβt kind.
In other news I am old enough to have earned tips at Rumbelows for knowing how to set up VCRs for people.
In another forum thereβs a discussion about how Doc Brown hooks up Martyβs camcorder to a 1955 TV. While that wouldnβt have worked in the UK, it definitely would have worked through the UHF output on an 80s one in the US. As long as you know which channel it was on.
Sigh. Those were the days.
I thought she was closer to his age. Iβm not far off her age and I think I look younger.
Less than you think. She is younger than you probably expect too.
Sadly despite getting the right connector, which delivers the right values to the correct wires, and that those values are terminating in the headunit correctly - it still isn't detecting the key presses in the steering wheel.
I now suspect the headunit can't handle that type of input.
