There’s a clear market for insurance companies to ‘total’ otherwise repairable cars at the moment. Just been dealing with it. Fortunately I got my car back and repaired from the auction yard they took it to with just a ‘video’ appraisal.
I’m assuming Bondi will be next under the bus at this point.
It’s there with special car parking operations for importance.
We can live in hope.
One was a truck driver later depot manager for a large brewery.
The other was a political agent, ‘farmer’ and terrible gambler.
Probably sets me up perfectly for this Congress. 😂

I am somewhat tired of trying to pick a beer for a single beer with a lunch if I expect I might have to drive and finding that none of the beers are remotely safe for purpose and not bothering.
We do have a local brewery that does a 3.8% which makes a change.
I was considering that in days gone by doing 8-10 beers in a day at an SF con wouldn’t have been considered especially insane. Doubt I could do that now.
I don’t drink like this this anymore but I’m fairly sure I’ve got a 1/3 of the way or more at some 4 day conventions without really appearing too much the worse for wear. Different times :)

In other news I am old enough to have earned tips at Rumbelows for knowing how to set up VCRs for people.
In another forum there’s a discussion about how Doc Brown hooks up Marty’s camcorder to a 1955 TV. While that wouldn’t have worked in the UK, it definitely would have worked through the UHF output on an 80s one in the US. As long as you know which channel it was on.

Sadly despite getting the right connector, which delivers the right values to the correct wires, and that those values are terminating in the headunit correctly - it still isn't detecting the key presses in the steering wheel.
I now suspect the headunit can't handle that type of input.
