Anybody else got a computer game (Civilization for me) that you burn out on about halfway through the course of every session? Only the early-game things are interesting to me any more. Once I hit about the ~halfway point ... FABO the rest of this. I don't care any more. Punt, delete, start over.
By "Golden Age" I think he just means that he gets all the gold.
2026 LIED TO US! It said it wouldn't be like all those other years. It said "I've changed". It said "trusssssst in meeeee".
IT LIED!!!!!
Goddammit 2026!! You promised you wouldn't be like all those.other years!!
My lived experience is similar. It makes me sad.
A very odd man (aka me) in a tinfoil hat, about to read the news online.
Heading online to check the news. Wish me luck! If I'm not back in an hour, organize a search party.
Pro tip: Never run your finger across the top of your refrigerator door to "see if it is dusty."

Good on ya, Mojang!
Taped myself to the first present I wrapped.
It went downhill from there.
Awesome! Family favorite. I've done this one live before. Man, that's a lot of words!

Isn't that the dang truth? I think the Law has stuck with me more than anything tbh. I redefine "reverent" in my own terms, but it still applies.
It was really a matter of necessity ... the tarps were in the shed, and the budget didn't have any room for anything else lol

Flirting with a light freeze tonight, and there are plants in the kitchen garden we want to save for a few more weeks. So I improvised this cover from old tarps, 1x10s, and twine. Thanks to BSA for the old lashing skills, and my kids for the "hold this while I tie it" help.

There's something about nomming up a jalapeno straight from the garden...

Without a shred of irony, I used the phrase "synchronistic collaboration" in my year-end review today.
I feel dirty and ashamed.
And not in the good way.
Yes, but there's no possible way I can grow all that basil!! Can I cook with them, ala poppy seeds? They're about the same size....
A backyard garden bed with lush growth of basil, jalapeno peppers, thyme, oregano, tomato, and lemon grass, with a small lone leek struggling for attention at the end.
Late season basil trying to dominate the peppers, oregano, thyme, tomato, and lone leek.
What a jerk.

Thanks!
It's an original parody, if that's what you mean. I think Mssrs. Simon and Garfunkle get credit for the original ;-)
If your giant basil is covered with bees, does it become beezil?

Nice! I didn't know it grew here ... had never seen it before. One of my fave plants. Hmm ... I wonder if I can snag some seed ...

I know this as Snow on the Mountain, and am a bit surprised to see it in N. Tx.
