Testing out some of my Atari 2600 cartridges today using the 2600+
Yeah 90 day returns + 2 year warranty
Yeah definitely
Nah I just need an upgrade. I don't even game on PC often, but I use it for mock reviews, consulting projects, VR testing, and general usage. My current PC is definitely showing its age, I've had it for like 7 years. I'm not the kind of user that is going to even play at 4K or care about fps
My thinking is coming from what I have currently, the iBuyPower is already gonna feel like a crazy big upgrade that the MSI is kind of negligible by comparison for someone in my boat
PC people:
My current desktop PC is getting old. I'm still rolling with a RTXΒ 2060Β Super GPU and Intel i5 9600K CPU.
Looking at these two at Costco. Thoughts?
A guy joined our game in Marathon last night, apologized preemptively for having a heavy accent, and then yelled at the robots calling them ChatGPT as an insult π€£
PokΓ©mon/Pocket Monsters red and green Japanese labels
Legend of Zelda Oracle of ages and seasons Japanese back covers
February 27 is a special day in the very specialized genre of "companion" Gameboy games with:
Pocket Monsters: Red & Green (1996)
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages & Seasons (2001)
BOTH *or all four* debuting on this day in Japan!
Dig out that link cable and celebrate!
Move saves!
Trade Pokemon!
I haven't even tried solo but I can definitely see that. The shell abilities are highly designed around teamwork.
Definitely intrigued to play more and really enjoyed the Triage medic guy.
Overall gameplay feels very good and the AI enemies are fun to fight. I like that looting isn't focused on duct tape and random bits of wire, but is more tactical and functional for the most part.
My main issue is just how much visual NOISE there is across all of the menus and UX. Aesthetically I love the style and design, but navigation and understanding the architecture of the submenus is a chore.
It's immediately overwhelming and confusing to parse through.
Very different vibe from Arc Raiders, super cool aesthetic, extremely interesting lore if you're into that like me, and the shells/classes are compelling.
Played three hours of the Marathon Server Slam with a friend, I like it! π§΅
My perspective on the genre is 150hrs in Arc Raiders, but not really ever clicking with Tarkov. Never got big into Destiny either, but I have played every Halo.
Who else is planning to check out the Marathon Server Slam this weekend?
Hit me up if you want to play! I'll be on PS5.

RE Engine is pure magic and Capcom is at the top of their game right now.
I wrote more about how impressive the game and engine are right here: 80.lv/articles/res...
I've played Resident Evil: Requiem a lot. One preview event last year, another earlier this year, and now the full version of the game on PS5 Pro.
It's the best Resident Evil ever, imo. Requiem perfectly combines the relentless intensity of the RE2 remake with the SUFFOCATING terror of RE7.

We need to bring back 200+ page game manuals.
Impossible!
It's a pretty solid game!
Dark Chambers is pretty fun, crazy that it predates even Gauntlet.
Biggest gripe is the lack of any music during the game, so putting on Gauntlet or Ghosts n Goblins NES soundtracks fits well.
We recently talked BloodRayne with CBR and @davidjagneaux.bsky.social
The interview is called "How BloodRayne Is Being Preserved Without Losing Its Bite"
You can read it here: bit.ly/4r2ORie
I know I dabbled back in the day and the music was memorable (it's David Wise so obviously) but I know I never actually beat it!
One of my new year resolutions was to beat at least one physically owned video game for every platform I have this year.
I haven't made much progress yet, mostly been on PS5 reviews and PC game consulting projects.
HOWEVER, I think I'll do Wizards & Warriors on NES soon.
And this is why I try to keep my wishlists across all platforms updated. Just snagged this 3D platformer I've had my eye on for a while.
As a corgi owner, I think I'm legally required to play this.
I really need a publication to let me review Saros.
One of the biggest games people are looking forward to with an Indian protagonist?
I have to review that for so many reasons.
I want to do features on that, interviews, and so much coverage for guides.
I need this to happen, please.
Oooo I'd love Axel and Blaze!
Ross has Streets of Rage action figures???
