Thanks @gymcastic.com, I listened to your Heated Rivalry episode (I finally watched the series) instead of that certain event that was on all the channels tonight (with noise cancelling headphones).

There are people defending Epstein by saying the girls/women were 16+ (some were younger), but here’s the thing, sex trafficking and human trafficking is still a crime even if the people being trafficked are over the age of 18. Also 16 -17 year olds are still minors.

If you want to change Internet culture (and I’ve been online since 1992 so I’m not new) maybe stop letting hate comments remain would be a start.

I wish pro-LGBTQ+ pages would moderate their comments on other social media platforms instead of letting a cesspool of bad faith comments, terrible anti-lgbtq+ memes etc remain. Screenshot the comments and maybe post them once in a while to prove the hate, there’s no need to keep them up.

My husband leaned Canadian progressive conservative when we met (which isn’t far off from the Democratic Party). He now leans left and socially progressive. My big ole barometer with him though was his thoughts on the LGBTQ+ as it was 2003 as my brother is gay, thankfully he was affirming.

I don’t think we talk about how much of a progressive badass Phil Donohue was.

I fucking hate comments sections for sports. So many anti-trans people will bring up trans women in sports regardless of what the article’s about.

I saw this gross post on threads showing a pic of a thin woman Trump supporter and a larger woman Democrat to imply that Trump women are better looking. Lots of comments about how Democrat women can be conventionally attractive but a lack of comments about the obvious fatphobia being demonstrated.

I went for a 6k run this morning and actually got an energy boost! Feeling good (but tired now it’s almost 9pm).

I’m really happy though, I had a mental block from doing much exercise after my mom was diagnosed with cancer, but I’ve been back at it for the past few weeks.

You know when you go to your doctor and the front desk asks you if you have Covid/respiratory illness symptoms or if you’ve traveled internationally? Today they added another one “have you consumed unpasteurized cow’s milk or been around livestock in the past two weeks”.

It happened to my mom too (she’s 75)! She was okay in November and then needed around the clock care in mid-December.

It amazes me how many people have not seen a senior person they know deteriorate quickly because it absolutely can happen.
