I once got a DMCA takedown notice for posting my own song to a social network. They did reverse it but it felt really dystopian www.techdirt.com/2026/03/03/o...

Really cool product I found - all steel coffee maker that makes a full 12 cups. I've looked for years for this and someone is finally building it. The Chemex is cool and I use it all the time but this is def easier (and it's only $80) puresteelco.com
it was the best of times it was the worst of times...
I remember this saga
These are really cool
"you are not just exit liquidity for bagholders, you are on an important mission"
recently got a Fanttik X9 APEX digital tire inflator - pretty sweet - easily keeps car/bike tires perfectly to spec, recharges via USB. One of those "once you have it you wonder how you lived without it" type things bc you realize how much safer it is to be able to do this at home with precision
Sled dogs
Dogs absolutely loved the snow this morning
They should just make some new franchises honestly Star Wars & Trek are both stale and have been for awhile
I don't like the original star trek and I also don't like the (very) new star trek - TNG (plus TNG movies) DS9 and Voyager are really the only good ones

Fairly nihilistic - you should do a creative project because you want to and have to get it out of you

two trivias about this video:
1. Soundtrack by @adamsinger.bsky.social
2. the colors are a side effect of the 2022 Hunga TongaβHunga HaΚ»apai eruption, that tinted the southern sky for several months with really crazy colors.
hell yeah
Json is so good at video work
Good video, I talk about a lot of the ideas presented here and danger of outsourcing all cognitive and creative work to machines on the blog all the time. There's no way you can do that without tradeoffs, in fact we have plenty of ex this is true in existing areas www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcol...
Big tech's war on hyperlinks continues. Build an email list from your followers on those platforms while you still can. The window to do this is shrinking, then may be gone forever.
Eventually there will be a day you will reach no one unless you pay -whether it has links or otherwise
This makes sense, although it can go too far. One time many years ago people wanted me to do so sample work for them pre-hire. I had a very similar project I just linked them, because it fulfilled the ask (it had even won an industry award!). They didn't like that, and I ultimately didn't work there
New on the blog - the easy traffic days are gone. If there ever even was any sort of internet social contract, it's been broken for years. You have to operate with this in mind and can't act surprised when tactics of the past stop working www.hottakes.space/p/internet-c...
I've written 1x a week on the blog for ~3 years now, we are so back
This week's longform idea we're talking about how some friction in your life is good. Creative work isn't assembly line work. It's something different and transcendent. You want it to have real meaning, not just be faster and cheaper www.hottakes.space/p/some-frict...
If you don't yet feel disgust when you see people (or yourself) watching short form video, you should. Here's some research if you need it. www.hottakes.space/p/short-form...
