there's a constant background radiation of ableism on the internet these days that makes it very not fun to use. never know when i'm gonna stumble across someone casually being incredibly cruel about autistic people, either implicitly or explicitly

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

"i like you more now that you're damaged and unrecognisable from the person you were before" is an insane thing to say to somebody but people just be saying that shit bc. why not i guess . it sucks when you confide in someone and that's how they react, im rlly sorry you went through that 💚

i was doxxed on tumblr by people who tried to suicide bait me bc i transitioned and have been stalked around the internet for years as well . people suck but when we talk about these things openly it can show that we're not afraid , so ty for sharing your experience salem 💚
