I have what I'm calling 'digital object impermanence': if we've only met online, I'll walk right past you IRL without a second thought. Found this out when someone I'd chatted with on Grindr for MONTHS was glaring at me at the beach. Took me two whole days to connect the dots 💀
My Late diagnosis of ADHD has been a serious reorientation of my thinking about how I see the world. Time being one of them. I would treat people I havent seen in 15 years like it was just last year, because mentally it is kinda. But HAS been 15 years for them. And I freak them out.
