Possibly because everyone always appreciates the real you without any sort of mask or filters. At least this is my opinion and one of the reasons I usually ask people who model for me not to wear make-up. Despite the fact that some people wear make-up anyway.

I need to find a new van or SUV first but I spent five years as a full-time traveling nude portrait photographer before my current SUV broke down. Now I'm back in my home town still doing the best nude portrait photography I can while focusing on my next art show.
