Brandon Johnson's government has been one of the biggest disappointments to me as a Chicagoan and I hope we can replace his failure of an administration, like Lori's before his, with something competent that doesn't leave people in the lurch like this

meanwhile this same government is actually removing capacity from the shelter system they're claiming to be putting people into (which they aren't even doing)

super Cool Cool Cool that they're doing this while also bringing down the number of open shelters across the city in the next few months

I saw a short-eared owl flying over the Montrose Beach Dunes this morning. It seemed to be making a brief visit as it was flying north up the lakefront.
