FWIW I don't think is graphic at all - except of course for the knowledge of what the result was.
I did find the audio censoring of the news broadcast version quite jarring.

Here's the uncensored video of the ICE shooting event in Minneapolis. Oh and I discovered as a result of this that you have to go to bsky.app/moderation and adjust your settings if you want to see mature or graphic content.
heh, I might be mixing up flatpak and snap. Same difference?
I might be becoming a grumpy old man but I prefer my apps as packages, not in flatpak. I'm using flatpak's for stuff that gives me no other choice... I am not even sure I remember why flatpak put me off so much :D
Found a copy of the .deb from the previous version and have installed it successfully.. back to working Spotify again.
I'll have to reminder to un-hold the version at some point in the future when they fix the problem :S
Again - why must Linux users be second-tier... !!
- looks like everyone running Ubuntu derivatives is now stuck if they upgrade to the current version (unless the switch to the flatpak). I of course, never had the old version...
Currently poking into whether I can install the previous update.
Well, it ran after I installed it and appeared to work as I would expect.
Today it won't run.
It appears i've run into a glibc version issue that's being discussed on their support forum community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-L...
It'd be really nice for dev shops - especially those who clearly have scale - to remember that Linux users are customers too.
I just installed Spotify for Linux. Sadly their website states "Spotify for Linux is a labor of love from our engineers that wanted to listen to Spotify on their Linux development machines. They work on it in their spare time and it is currently not a platform that we actively support."
Gotta admit "the font is DEI" is a stage of absurdity I could not have predicted
I confess to not knowing how the cover art is factored into scoring. Full disqualification seems harsh though.
I do think that comparing AI cover art to artwork produced by a person would not be fair though? Agreed it's very much a valid artform.

This is dumb to me. Cover Artwork is hardly significant in the scheme of a whole book!
As much as silly and OTT Use of AI makes my skin crawl, this feels like the wrong call to me.

Topped up my Snapper this morning via CC and the process demanded my email address. I wonder what Windcave are doing with it? Could I put in a fake one each time?

Ive long suspected this but Ars appear to be reporting on evidence-backed truths. Meta willfully letting scam ads remain in place to keep the involved revenue... Disgusting.
We have Police in our embassies offshore. Why not expect reciprocal?
I suspect there's been FBI in NZ for a while. This is just increased.. stature.. for the role, instead of being subordinate to the LegAt in Canberra.
Liaison between law enforcement is how we deal with mulitnational crims.
Exactly. Makes me twitch when people excuse a mistype as a 'typo'.
Mayor takes responsibility for 'typo' that could have cost council $20m www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...
A typo is when you hit incorrect keys. I feel like the world's lost sight of that meaning.
Accidentally using 'exclusive of GST' instead of 'inclusive of GST' shldnt be a 'typo'. "Error" instead.
𧡠THREAD: Why the Cato Instituteβs new paper on βmisinformation panicβ is dangerously wrong, and why it completely misunderstands the real crisis we face.

Anyone else think this sends the wrong message?
Ministry of Health has joined Bluesky.

Why refuse my password when it's correct? Why not tell me in the notification email that a different login is required first-time-back? Why not support an app-only experience? Why not know what my date format is from my account locale?
Finicky experience. Puts me off.
5. ... again used one-time-code, that let me in, again had to enter my DOB and reaffirm my gender (so it can give me good content/search results, apparently) but in a full browser it at least realised my local format is DDMMYYYY.
6. Retried mobile app, still refused til killed/restarted app.
1. Gotta use the one-time-code option to login. It'll refuse your password.
2. Doing (1) on a mobile (app) prompts you to enter your DOB (but forces MMDDYYYY format which caught me out.
3. After passing (2) on the mobile it didn't work anyway.
4. So used Chrome, again password failed...
The problem with working in IT and knowing what good looks like, is how infurating I find it when I see shitty UX.
Tonight it's DisneyPlus. Experience reactivating after having put the account to sleep a couple of months ago, really ratshit.
Tips for anyone else follow...
I spoke to MIR when I was 18. A treasured memory, especially as it was an Australian Astronaut I worked. Andy Thomas VK5MIR. Would love to have met him IRL!
