I will destroy her
need more translucent valve hardware in my life
it drives you insane how much erosion of freedom is justified by concern for kids when the people who actually hurt them will never face consequences
have you considered using a real game engine?
adobe killing animate and saying "just use after effects" is the most fundamental misunderstanding of your customers ever, lol
Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.
So they're just GETTING RID OF IT???
Digg?! Did I wake up in 2008?
Great camera!! I miss my K1000.
I donβt know how to submit feedback on something purely subjective (though I donβt think many would disagree), but the default automatic text hinting for the new editor font on Windows looks REALLY ugly. I wish it would default to no hinting on all platforms.
In the decade-plus I've been making my weekly videos, Rebecca was the only developer to have jumped into my comments to clear up a point I was unclear aboutβthen she graciously agreed to be on the podcast. I found her to be as generous and kind as she was talented. It's truly tragic that she's gone.
Rebecca Heineman passed today.
She was a unique talent, to understate things. Anyone could see that in her long list of accomplishments.
But we are not just our catalogs of retail products. She was a force of nature, a light in the darkness.
This is an unimaginable sadness.
first episode of Pluribus:
what the fuck (complimentary)
half a billion dollars for a police force that still feels the need to shakedown local markets, events, and fairs for protection money
A pumpkin sitting on a table, with the glowing orange face of the Godot Engine mascot carved into it.
Happy Halloween! #godot #gamedev
what mouse (please donβt say mx master Iβm begging for something that has everything I love about it but isnβt shit)
Your takes continue to be immaculate
Looking forward to it!
Any word on the Disco doc?
don't write developer documentation with LLMs dude we are filling up the web with The Gunk
I love Clint. Last year a hurricane took out his house and huge amounts of his stuff last year, and this refreshingly honest and positive outlook coupled with that soothing voice is a joy.
Consider me intrigued
For me that was a chapter that only really hit the first time. After you know how he works and moves all the tension is gone.
Oblivion pre-dates Bethesdaβs use of Flash/Scaleform for UI, so no SWF files. IIRC Fallout 3 and prior used some form of sprite sheet texture for fonts?
I remember it being featured at the top of the front page of Steam on the day of its release. I donβt know exactly how Valve selects games to be featured there, Iβm sure there must have been interest in the game for them to consider doing that, but I had never heard of it prior.
Yes and yes (I'll be playing both it and Skyblivion)! This is my favourite TES game.
This colour palette is fantastic, especially with the thick, dark shadows. Reminds me of mid/late 90s SGI renders.
Deck 1, this is quite old.
