A silver photo frame in a charity shop, costing £1.50. There’s a dated looked photo in it - an upright tuxedo cat looking to the left. Someone’s pet. Did someone die and this was cleared out?

A photo of my hand holding the photo of the tuxedo cat that I’d taken out of the frame. There is handwriting on the back of the photo. It says: 1984. Thomas in Mum’s dining room. Tommy was Mum’s cat, sadly I lost mum in April 1984. Tommy has now put on weight and wears or was wearing a white magnetic disk on his collar. Please note his nearly complete white moustache.

The same silver photo frame but this time there’s a picture of two cats snuggled up together. The photo is washed out as it looks quite old. I didn’t take this one out of the frame to see if there was anything written in the back. The first photo made me a bit too sad.

Ohh interesting, don't think she worked in that part, I would've remembered her mentioning that.

I'll have to ask my family but I suspect she worked in the Victorian building from my scant memories.

Alas I can't ask her anymore. But I remember her saying she liked the staff/patients. She didn't have many photos but there may be some of her colleagues and her outside . Will have to have a root around and see if I can find any. Your posts sent me down a quick rabbit hole of family history! ❤️

I walk past Bradley's/Hanway Street often and always think about what I'd say if I saw you (it's usually something related to transport, history, cats) but I'd be a ball of anxiety so I'd probably just blurt something unrelated out instead and run away in a panic.

Do you know if companies are legally allowed to have A-boards in the middle of pavements? Happy to speak to companies when I see this and ask them to move it!

Re: the panting - is this a negative sign or just normal given it was warm today? Tomorrow’s going to be hotter so wondering if they’ll be ok (presumably they’re hydrating through their pigeon meals!)

Two cards. On the left: A simple light blue card with a thin gold border. Embossed are two birds flying in gold - maybe swans or storks? At the bottom, also in gold is some possibly Arabic or Sindhi which translates to Eid Mubarak. On the right: A light coloured card with a good leaf oval border. The background is a light, almost leopard print pattern. In the middle of the oval it says Eid Greeting in green, where Eid is in a slightly fatter font. The G in Greeting is large and encompasses Eid into it. The dot over the I in Greeting is a crescent. Very nice font!
