I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Something that's been tough regarding commissions is my currency's further increasing strength
I've been trying to think of some affordable ways to still offer custom comms, but it's been tough to balance out still reasonable earnings with costs here and the current overall economy situation
Digital art, mostly flat colour of my OC Yukka in their Latent Form - appearance is somewhat canine-like with white fur, wings with blue-pink tips, long flowing tail and a gold-yellow mane. They are in the air with both their legs and arms upwards (but hands/claws facing forwards). They have a simple happy expression. Background is a few blue and pink coloured squares of different sizes on a white background.
